logistical information

ozgrav student travel support

To help enable attendance of our students, OzGrav headquarters will provide $800 per interstate student (i.e. students from Uni of Melbourne, Monash, Swinburne, ANU & Uni of Adelaide) towards the costs of flights and accommodation. Accommodation will be booked and paid upfront by OzGrav HQ based upon the details provided when you register.

UWA students who would also like to stay onsite at the Novotel Vines Resort will also receive a $150 travel subsidy.

Node administrators can liaise with OzGrav HQ after the event to arrange payment of the travel support for each student.

flights & Transport

Flights will need to be arranged by each attendee in accordance with their own institution. Flight costs will need to be paid by each node. Please contact your node leader or administrator to confirm the best way to book your flights.

A number of chartered bus services will be available from Perth Airport and a central Perth CBD location directly to the conference venue.  More details will be sent to all registered members shortly.

If you are an affiliate or guest of OzGrav and not involved with one of our nodes please contact Erin O’Grady (eogrady@swin.edu.au) if you require any assistance in arranging your flights.

accommodation

Accommodation for the ECR workshop and Annual retreat is located onsite at the The Novotel Vines Resort. Your accommodation will be booked by OzGrav HQ. When filling out your registration form please ensure you have selected the correct dates you require accommodation.

All participants can reduce their accommodation costs by room sharing (twin share, 2 per room).  Students and Postdocs are typically expected to share.  If you have someone you would like to room share with, please indicate this in the registration form.

Accommodation rates are $179 per single room and $199 for twin share, inclusive of breakfast.

Changes to and cancellation of accommodation
If you need to make any changes to your accommodation booking please contact Erin O'Grady (eogrady@swin.edu.au) as soon as possible. Cancellation fees apply from 31 October 2018. Although OzGrav HQ will make the accommodation booking on your behalf, if you cancel or you are a no show, all costs associated will be charged back to your institution.

AIP Conference
If you are attending the AIP conference following the OzGrav retreat, please note that OzGrav HQ will not be arranging this accommodation for you and we suggest that that you make accommodation arrangements closer to The University of Western Australia. Please refer to the AIP conference website for their accommodation suggestions here .
