Welcome to OzGrav!
The ARC Centre of Excellence for Gravitational Wave Discovery (OzGrav) is a national research centre funded by the Australian Government through the Australian Research Council Centres of Excellence program. OzGrav brings together more than 200 researchers, students and professional staff across eight Australian universities: Swinburne University of Technology (host of OzGrav headquarters), Australian National University, Monash University, University of Adelaide, University of Melbourne, University of Queensland, University of Sydney and University of Western Australia, along with many collaborators across Australia and internationally.
OzGrav’s research focuses on gravitational waves and the extreme physics of black holes, neutron stars and warped spacetime. The Centre’s work spans instrumentation, discovery and fundamental physics, combining theoretical modelling, advanced data analysis and cutting-edge technology to explore this new window on the Universe.
Getting started at OzGrav
To help new members get started, we have created the Welcome to OzGrav booklet. This guide provides an overview of the Centre, introduces how we work and stay connected, and helps you navigate the OzGrav community and its opportunities.
Please download and read the booklet below to learn more about the OzGrav ecosystem and how to make the most of your time at the Centre.
