I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Sydney. I completed my PhD at Swinburne Unversity and have worked as a postdoc at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I am an expert in optical time-domain astronomy with specialising in energetic transients including Gamma-ray bursts and kilonovae. My PhD work included working on the Deeper, Wider, Faster (DWF) programme searching for minute-timescale optical transients. I designed a data reduction pipeline for the programme and a photometric classifier to identify Gamma-ray burst afterglows in the DWF data. I currently work on identifying and following up fast transients with the Zwicky Transient Facility and the Vera C. Rubin Observatory. I also carry out multi-messenger follow-up to gravitational wave events
