Lauren Carter holds the position of Business & EDI (Equity, Diversity and Inclusion) Specialist at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Gravitational Wave Discovery (OzGrav). With a diverse background spanning film and TV, anthropology, social policy, and governance, Lauren brings a unique perspective to her role. Her journey to this position reflects her unwavering commitment to empowering others and fostering inclusive environments. She created the OzGrav Inclusive Recruitment Checklist and Guide, implemented holistic EDI training programs, and spearheaded the development of EDI-related policies and procedures.
At OzGrav, Lauren is dedicated to developing, updating, and creating systems, structures, policies, and processes that empower members to achieve their goals. She has a strong desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives and empower others. Lauren’s experience as a project and governance specialist enables her to identify and improve organisational structures and systems. She is also devoted to improving workplace culture and delivering results aligned with strategic and operational objectives.
