  • Kate Brooks - She worked for 11 years as an astronomer at CSIRO until 2016. Now she is an innovation manager at Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy & Fertilisers. Kate also runs her own consulting firm called ReasrchBiz and co-founded a company called Caffeen earlier in 2018. 
  • Tara Murphy - She is an A/Prof at USyd and the co-founder of a company called Grok Learning that aims to give everyone the power to code.
  • Jean-Charles Dumas - He started his own company in marine ROVs called Synaya after a PhD and a first postdoc at UWA.
  • Stephen Parker - He obtained a PhD and spent five subsequent years as a postdoc at UWA before leaving to become a Principal Systems Designer at MRX technologies, a tech company in the railway, mining and exploration industry.
  • Annette Tyler - She has a PhD in Biophysics and now works as an Assistant Director at the Statistical Business Transformation Division of The Australian Bureau of Statistics.
  • Tarquin Ralph - He has a degree in Physics and an MBA, was a Partner in 2 large consulting firms before forming his own, and now also works with of Liquid Instruments. He is completing a PhD at ANU.
  • Eric May - He is a professor at UWA in Mechanical and Chemical Engineering as well as the Chevron Chair in Gas Process Engineering. He considers being an academic as one of the best jobs there is.
  • Dr Anthea King was a postdoc at University of Melbourne, after which she did an internship with Mezo Research in Melbourne.  She is now working for Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy, and Fertilisers
